6 surprising ways gin is GOOD for you

To celebrate World Gin Day 2017 we've put together a list of the ways that gin can benefit your health. All things in moderation of course, but this list could have you feeling a little less guilty next time you reach for a G&T (as if you need a reason anyway!)

As Gin is made from a range of natural ingredients including sage, coriander, nutmeg, rosemary and juniper it is crammed full of antioxidants and naturally medicinal vitamins and minerals.

  1. It can help to prevent common colds and the flu

Do you suffer from the common cold and flu-like symptoms regularly? Gin may be the solution!

Research has found that the vitamin C present in juniper berries can help to fight off common colds, flus and general winter bugs. It's not going to compete with a good ol' glass of OJ anytime soon but the vitamin C in Juniper Berries is real and certainly knocks every other spirit out of the park.

  1. Reduce pain in aching joints

Gin could help to reduce the pain and inflammation in your joints so if you suffer from arthritis trying a bit of the spirit may help.
