9 fabulous ways to spend your World Gin Day 🍸

Whats everyone doing for world gin day On Saturday the 10th June? Here's a quick run down of what's on:


Junipalooza - Run by the Gin Foundry and held at the Tobacco Docks, there's guaranteed to be over 100 gins on offer from over 40 different producers (this is one of the TOP events of the weekend!)

New Floating Gin bar - Merchant Square in Paddington is unveiling the worlds first floating gin bar at their public floating garden. There's a variety of gins and amazing cocktails on offer. This one's a pop-up that's here on Thursdays and Fridays until the 19th of August so if you don't have time to go this weekend, maybe you can squeeze in a visit before it ends!

Ginstock 2017 - Canada Water's gin festival offering. Hosted at Hawker house, a site of regular street food events, the focus is on the cocktails. There's a competition running for the best cocktail of the day, attendees are encouraged to vote for who gets the coveted Juniper Cup and a cash prize. 🍸


Gin Festival UK - The most frequently run festivals in the country have decided to settle in Newcastle for this important weekend. Claiming to be the biggest event run anywhere in the UK for World Gin Day, if you're in Newcastle, that's where you should be.


Absolutely Fabulous Gin Festival – Liverpudlians head on down to Croxteth Country Hall, the event’s running on Friday the 9th and Saturday the 10th. Tickets are £10 and upon buying a £20 voucher you’ll be entitled to 4 gin and tonics (Fevertree mixers) from a variety of producers.


 Join Herno, “The World’s Best Gin Producer” at the Leeds branch of Harvey Nichols this World Gin Day, and taste The World’s Best Gin & Tonic. It’s running 1-4pm on the fourth floor wineshop.


 World gin day bar at the Railway Tavern (Chelmsford) -  They’ll will be celebrating World Gin Day by setting up their very own garden gin bar. There will be a selection of ten different guest gins from around the world all served with their own tantalizing garnish and mixer. Oh plus our 60 gins in the pub!!


National Space Centre - Leicester

 World Gin Day at The National Space Centre – Gin + space? Count us in! They’ve filled the building with the world’s best gin producers with a few local appearances to boot. There’ll be specialist science talks, gin tastings, food offering, bars and even a walk-through gin experience. Did you know Sir Steven Hawking’s favourite tipple is gin? (we may have made this up)


 Pocket full of stones Gin Evening (Newquay) - Pocketful of Stones Distillers, the brains behind the Caspyn Cornish gin range are in the house and talking everyone’s favourite drink – gin! They’ll be tasting, testing, talking and even distilling Caspyn gin. For all those who have ever wanted to try their hand at making gin, it’s a wonderful opportunity to see how the experts do it. Not to mention tasting the whole range of Caspyn gins and if you’re very lucky; even an unreleased gin.. Head on down to 55 Yards to reserve your ticket!
